today's discussion was really good. we had some in-depth talk on life, purpose and meaning. the part that struck me the most was Arter's view. repetition is a monotonous issue of life. repetition without purpose is meaningless. i thought this to be very true. Many of us walk around with a meaningless life. we seem half asleep even when we're busy doing things that are important. But somehow, at the end of the day, we still feel very unfulfilled. Why? Mainly because we chase the wrong things. we work our butts off to get good grades, good job, good money, good house, good car....... but the hours spent getting these means we miss out on many other things. things that at the end of the day might give us a sense of meaning and purpose of our life. some of us also go on a aimless search of life. we buy self-help books, philosophical books, think about wot atheists say, we try this , we try that but at the end of the day we cry out in frustration. This is redundant because many a times most of us die missing out on things that might have helped us in our quests. and wot do we gain from our mindless expeditions and quests? There is no remembrance of men of old, and even those who are yet to come will not be remembered by those who follow.
